Z1's Hatch Lift Kit for the 370Z contains two of our simplest, yet most important products for daily drivers: Z1 Upgraded Hatch Struts and Z1 Heavy-Duty Hatch Poppers.

Upgraded Hatch Struts

Z1 Upgraded Hatch Struts are a great solution for your old worn-out OE struts. These high-quality struts are easy to replace and can be purchased in 2 different strengths to compensate for additional weight like a hatch-mounted spoiler. Each kit includes a new pair of upgraded hatch struts with socket ends, ball studs with retainer locks, and new lower mounting plates with ball studs. The install can be completed in just minutes with minimal tools, making this a painless installation for all levels of car enthusiasts.

The Level 1 High Pressure (LHP) units are great for almost every application, they are a little stronger than the originals and will support most aftermarket spoilers or just be strong for a standard application.  The upgrade to the Mega High Pressure (MHP) units offers maximum added lift support for the Largest heavier aftermarket spoilers, or just a workout for those looking for it.

Heavy-Duty Hatch Poppers

Z1 Hatch Poppers were engineered to be a permanent solution to the weak lift springs, designed with a heavy-duty lift spring to help push the hatch away from the body when the release is pressed, the way Nissan intended. The body is manufactured from Delrin, a type of hard plastic typically found in aftermarket shift knobs. This allows the assembly to maintain low weight and noise without compromising durability. Inside the body is a heavy-duty lift spring, providing enough force to lift the hatch up and free of the latch when the hatch release is pressed. Covering the spring is a custom-formed EPDM rubber boot. This boot protects the paint from accelerated wear from contact with the spring end and keeps water, dirt, and debris out of the assembly.
