New Smooth Idler Pulley fits various Nissan and Infiniti models equipped with a VQ35HR or VQ37VHR powertrain. This component is a lower cost alterntive to the OEM Belt Idler Pulley, letting you keep a few extra bucks in your wallet for future modifications!

Located on the front of the VQ37 in your Nissan / Infiniti, the idler pulley is responsible for guiding and maintaining tension with the drive belt. As the bearings in the pulley wear, you may begin to experience a high pitch squeaking or squealing. Over time this may result in complete bearing failure, causing the pulley to lock up and break the belt.

NOTE: Whenever idler or tensioner pulleys are replaced due to faliure, it is important to carefully inspect the belt for excessive wear. New OEM drive belts can be purchased
