Z1 Motorsports Front Adjustable Suspension Package includes Z1's Adjustable Front Upper Control Arms & Tension Rods for '90+ Nissan 300zx models. Z1 Motorsports Adjustable Front Upper Control Arms add positive and negative camber adjust-ability to help improve alignment for handling AND replace your factory worn suspension. Z1 Motorsports Adjustable Tension Rods add positive caster adjust-ability to help improve alignment for handling or to get your Z back to OE specs after lowering or damage to the forward suspension mounting points.

Inspected, assembled, re-inspected and packaged in house by Z1's trained staff, the adjustable Front suspension arms arrive ready to install on your Z right out of the box.  A professional alignment is strongly recommended after the installation of the arms.

Both Front Upper Control Arms and Tension Rods are equipped with these Standard Components:

Body - Machined from solid, billet 6061 Aluminium and hard anodized black; the fluid design is not only aesthetically pleasing its form is completely functional.  Clearance will not be any issue through the full range of suspension travel.  Why aluminium? Weight was at the top of our list for requirements, to add adjustment to the factory arm and even match the weight without being heavier was a steep challenge.
Adjuster - Machined from Stainless Steel, the adjuster is a critical part of the arm for both safety as well as adjust-ability.  Careful consideration was taken to ensure maximum adjust-ability without compromising safety or increasing the arms' overall weight unnecessarily.  Stainless was used for long life while offering a great strength in a compact size.  We even had your alignment tech in mind when designing these parts, featuring a double adjuster alignment changes are quick and easy with a turn of this jewel.  Even selecting the size of the part features like the adjuster hex and the jam nut size was important; it can be tight working in this area of multilink suspension so keeping lock nuts a reasonable size and centralized was important to us.  Even if you don't have a 27mm and 30mm wrench to tighten these up, you should be able to succeed with a reasonable sized crescent wrench.
Jam Nuts - Not readily available before production in our desired size custom LH and RH thread jam nuts were spec'd, and like the rest of these components not only were their outer dimensions spec'd even the thread class was specified.  To continue with the corrosion resistance these fasteners are also produced in Stainless Steel.
Bushings - Energy Suspension Bushings in red not only look good but also are an excellent replacement for the stock bushing. These high quality polyurethane bushings are designed to enhance overall driving performance without adversely affecting the ride quality.

Front Upper Control arm:

The ULTRA-Light RACE Version of the Z1 Motorsports Front Upper Control Arms are designed for the serious driving enthusiast or a "track use only" 300zx.  Using NSK double sealed ball bearings, the ULTRA-Light RACE Version provides the most direct and uncompromising driver feel.  Weighing in at 3.25 lbs per arm, the ULTRA-Light RACE Version is over half a pound lighter than the stock arms and is MUCH lighter than its competitors.
Solid Tension Rod

Much like our Front Upper Control Arms, we also sell a 'Race' version of our tension rods. These feature a solid heim joint design with included spacers. These remove all possibility for bushing flex, maximizing performance and providing the most direct and un-compromising driver feel. Because of the added stiffness, drivers will notice much higher vibrations and noise. Customers not comfortable with or are concerned about the increase in harshness or noise should purchase the STREET Version.

Please Note:
The use of thread locker is recommended under the jam nuts once final alignment adjustments have been made.
