We sell a wide variety of KBD Body Kits for Various cars and sometimes get questions on how to fit the polyurethane kits, so when one of our staff wanted a poly 350z Nismo V2 style bumper we thought it was time to do a little how to guide.
When the poly bumpers arrive, dont be alarmed, the boxes are small and they are bent up in there. Just get them out the box and "add heat", if you put them in a warm place in the sun or near heaters it will start to take shape and after a few hours will be ready to fit
Once its in shape the first thing to do is remove the old bumpers and see where the fittings are as the poly replacements have indentations for fittings but no holes. So we advice to make sure they are in the correct place then go ahead and drill the relevant parts.
Once all the holes are drilled ready then see what specific fitting areas the bumper has, for example on this 350z on it has a specific place for a bracket to clip on the bumper
After it has all been checked for fitting then just follow the opposite process you took removing your original bumpers and these should line up perfectly.
Once the bumpers are fitted if they are not 100% formed back into shape then a few days out in ok weather and driving should get to the form how they should look. If you are getting yours painted please follow the instructions KBD provide as it can be slightly different than painted any normal panels or kits.
